What: Information Security and Compliance: Navigating the Ever-Changing Regulatory Landscape
Businesses are struggling to comply with privacy, security and financial reporting regulations. Whether it's Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, Gramm-Leach-Bliley or SB 1386, rules and deadlines keep shifting. In addition, the regulations are couched in ambiguous legal language, making interpretation difficult; and there are more regulations in-the-works.
RSA Security will host guest speakers Richard Clarke, former White House advisor to the President on cyberspace security and author of The New York Times best seller Against All Enemies, and Lee Zeichner, advisor to the Department of Homeland Security on critical infrastructure issues. The hour-long web cast will discuss how IT security fits into the compliance puzzle. Gerry Wilson, CIO at RSA Security, will moderate the panel, which will include the following topics:
-- Current regulations that impact an organization now, and new regulations on the horizon
-- How IT security is becoming a board-level issue
-- How to create a more comprehensive, unified strategy for protecting information
-- Richard Clarke's ten recommended practices for strengthening IT security
