Company Continues Commitment to Deliver Automated Vulnerability Remediation Solution Recognized by NIAP Certification Requirements.
Citadel Security Software announced today that the company's automated vulnerability remediation (AVR) solution, Hercules, has achieved Assurance Continuity: CCRA (Arrangement on the Recognition of Common Criteria Certificates) requirements to maintain Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level Three (EAL3) certification for its most recent release, Version 3.0. Common Criteria is an internationally accepted standard for information technology (IT) security evaluation and certification, and is becoming a requirement for the purchase of commercial security products. The Communications Security Establishment (CSE) Certification Body issued a Maintenance Report based on an Impact Analysis Report submitted by EWA-Canada, an independent laboratory, which acts under the oversight of the CSE, a national-level certification body whose mandate includes measuring the trustworthiness of IT security products and systems.
"Maintaining Common Criteria EAL3 certification for our latest version of Hercules solution reinforces our leadership position and demonstrates our commitment to providing high quality and trustworthy security solutions to both the government and commercial sectors," said Steve Solomon, CEO of Citadel Security Software. "As the only automated vulnerability remediation solution to achieve Common Criteria certification, our customers can be confident that Hercules is the most comprehensive solution available, and trust that the product's capabilities are exactly what we claim."
Citadel's Hercules is the first vulnerability remediation solution to automate the resolution of all five classes of vulnerabilities including unsecured accounts, misconfigurations, unnecessary services, software defects and backdoors. With the largest library of tested vulnerability remedies across Windows and UNIX platforms and interoperability with industry leading network scanners and vulnerability assessment tools, the Hercules product allows users to import and aggregate data from multiple sources, review, approve and customize resolutions and systematically deploy vulnerability fixes.
