Speculation about whether Google's ad server working or not has come up. The reason for the questioning is because people have found a larger than normal amount of Google public server ads (PSA) where regular AdSense ads should be appearing.

According to SearchEngineRoundTable.com, these PSAs have shown up in spots where depleted budgets shouldn't be an issue. Google's PSAs have been seen at places where highly competitive keyword ads usually appear.

Forum speculation suggests that Google's ad server is or was having technical difficulty. There has been no word from Google confirming or denying this.
