There has been no official announcement of when Google's new email service, Gmail, will be available. Google is currently beta testing Gmail in order to fix any bugs and to tweak Gmail based on user requests.

According to Rugles.com, Google yesterday allowed more trial users to sign up for Gmail accounts. In order to receive an "invitation", you had to have a Blogger account through Google. Users with Blogger accounts were allowed to request a Gmail account. Google then accepted a number of these requests. Like the initial trial sign up, not everyone was accepted.

This move caused the speculation about Gmail's official launch to rev up again. A Rugles blogger speculates, "this expansion of the beta circle that Google is performing at the moment makes me believe that we are very close to the official public launch of Gmail."

He went on to say that the number of people "desperate to get a Gmail account" makes Gmail the most awaited Internet service at the moment.
