Yahoo.com has introduced Yahoo News 2.0 into the beta testing stage. News Search searches topics collected from the online news sources that Yahoo!'s search engine has indexed.

The News Search option appears as a tab on the search window that allows users to switch back and forth between web searches and a more targeted news search.

News Search searches over 7500 news sources, with the content refreshing throughout the day. News results can be sorted by relevance and date, with each headline linking to the publisher's page.

Yahoo! News Search also offers email updates about breaking news and specific subjects. Yahoo!'s new search tool can be beta tested here.
