Hackers have allegedly broken into T-Mobile's servers and stole proprietary operating data, customer databases and financial records.

On Saturday, June 6, someone anonymously posted to the Full Disclosure security mailing list claiming that a large amount of internal T-Mobile data had been breached and was being put up for sale to the highest bidder.
"We have everything, their databases, confidental [sic] documents, scripts and programs from their servers, financial documents up to 2009. We already contacted with their competitors and they didn't show interest in buying their data - probably because the mails got to the wrong people - so now we are offering them for the highest bidder."
T-Mobile has not confirmed or denied the breach but said in a statement it was investigating.
"The protection of our customers' information, and the safety and security of our systems, is absolutely paramount at T-Mobile," the company said.
"Regarding the recent claim, we are fully investigating the matter. As is out standard practice, if there is any evidence that customer information has been compromised, we would inform those affected as soon as possible."
It's not clear if the hacking of T-Mobile is authentic or a hoax. Full Disclosure warns that 80 percent of the postings on the site are false and deal with industry gossip.
