Information security firm Aladdin Knowledge Systems has launched the Aladdin Intelligence Research Center, a facility for Internet security cybercrime investigation.
 | | Aladdin Unveils Intelligence Research Center |  | Based at its headquarters in Israel, the Attack Intelligence Research Center is made up of global security researchers and law enforcement along with cybercrime specialists focused on sharing security data and intelligence that educates, supports and strengthens the security community.
The Center tracks evolving threats, predicts future trends in online security, and investigates the inner workings of the business of eCrime.
"Discovering malware is only half the battle -- our mission is to go beyond threat detection and malicious code to identify where the threat came from, who is benefiting from it, and how threats ultimately affect real organizations today and in the future," said Ian Amit, director of security research at Aladdin Knowledge Systems.
The Center will publish a semi-annual security trend report that details the Web threats of the previous six months along with predicting threats that will affect businesses in the next six months.
"Aladdin created the Attack Intelligence Research Center to uncover valuable threat intelligence and provide predictive guidance that advances the understanding of the business of eCrime and ensures that organizations are better prepared to protect themselves against cybercrime attacks," said Tsion Gonen, vice president of the Content Security Business Unit at Aladdin Knowledge Systems.
