The somewhat romantic myth about honor among thieves is hereby debunked. The latest attempt at wriggling into your system comes in the form of a ransom note.

The email, which to open or read probably won't harm a computer, reports security firm Sophos, carries a message reading this way:
"Hey We have hijacked your baby but you must pay once to us $50,000. The details we will send later. . .
"We has attached photo of your fume"
Written by lolcats? I can has ransom note?
Making use of Google's define: function reveals no English usage of "fume" for "baby," so one might assume they mean the gaseous effluvia emitting from the diaper.
Assuming a concerned recipient made it that far and wasn't wise to the poor grammar and word choice (e.g., hijacked instead of kidnapped) beforehand, they might also be fooled by the non-English-speaking phishermen enough to click on the attachment.
And that's where they'll get'cha with a nasty Windows-targeted Trojan.
"There's no other way of putting it - this attack is sick," writes Sophos's Graham Cluely. "Hackers have no qualms about exploiting a family's natural instinct to defend its most vulnerable members. Hopefully people will pause before opening the attachment, but the reflex action of some may be to click first and think later."
