Post-installation issues caused by Microsoft's cumulative fix for Internet Explorer this month affected a "small number of customers."

On Windows XP Service Pack 2, the latest update from Microsoft created a problem for IE 6 users. When trying to visit a website, the browser crashes.
Most people consider that a negative impact on their Internet experience.
Kieron Shorrock posted at the Microsoft Security Response Center blog that the company has been investigating this little contretemps.
"I want to note the security update does protect against the vulnerabilities noted in the bulletin," he wrote. Microsoft updated the Knowledge Base article about the problem, noting the side effect some have encountered post-fix.
The company also published a workaround that involves tweaking registry settings on a machine where IE 6 demonstrates the problem.
At the IE Blog, Terry McCoy, program manager for Internet Explorer security, said the IE 6 problem "might occur while navigating to a website hosting considerable media content (for example: http://msn.com)."
MSN crashes IE 6. That's almost funny. This post from Chris Boyd at Vitalsecurity.org is very funny. It's an object lesson of Internet anonymity, or lack thereof.
Sometimes it's best not to post some things about yourself.
