The Firefox 2.0.0.8 release corrected eight security issues. Two of them received Critical ratings, which indicate a flaw that could be exploited through simple web browsing to run malicious code.
Mozilla also said this version of Firefox will be compatible with the next version of Mac OS X, dubbed Leopard. The Leopard update will hit the shelves on October 26.
Firefox fans on Macs should note that some media plugin issues exist with Firefox 2.0.0.8. This also applies to some Add-ons that have binary components.

CNN Money said eBay's StubHub lost its appeal against a lawsuit requiring it to hand over 13,000 names to the Patriots. The team does not permit the reselling of its tickets.
