A trojan-driven phishing site offering non-existent iPhones for sale serves only to part the unwary from their cash.

It's a smorgasbord of computer security threats as criminals do their best to infect machines or at least squeeze some money out of unsuspecting users.
Security firm McAfee picked up on some recent entrants to the online scam environment. The phenomenal hype behind Apple's iPhone led to a Trojan that would misdirect people to a phishing site.
Those infected by the Phish-BuyPhony trojan will see popups when browsing Apple's site, or even Google or Yahoo.
The popups appear to take people to iphone.com, a legitimate domain owned by Apple, but bring up a phishing site instead. Criminals behind the site have also faked a TRUSTe page linked to a TRUSTe icon on the fake site.
People who buy an iPhone through this fake site make payments with MoneyGram or WesternUnion, both rapid cash payment services, to someone in Latvia.
"This phishing website is hosted on a server that was last known to be associated with several HTool-MPack exploits," said McAfee researcher Geok Meng Ong. Htool-MPack exploits have been growing in number, with this iPhone scam being a recent example.
