A low-threat worm affecting the OpenOffice productivity suite arrived at the offices of security firm Sophos, complete with a pornographic bunny suit picture attached.

Here's the bad news about BadBunny, a worm affecting OpenOffice. It's cross-platform, and can affect OpenOffice installs on Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. A malicious macro triggers the worm when the macro has been run.
The good news is that due to the nature of the attack, it's pretty unlikely to actually affect people who run OpenOffice from day to day, especially since the people responsible for writing it sent it directly to Sophos.
"The worm, which has not been reported at any customer sites, downloads and displays a pornographic picture of a scantily clad woman with a man dressed as a rabbit," Sophos said.
Sophos technology consultant Graham Cluley said in the report BadBunny was old-school malware, and written more as a proof of concept than a true threat to computer users.
"The hackers have written plenty of StarBasic malware in the past, but the most 'in the wild' this one is likely to get is by displaying a picture of a furvert in the woods," he said.
"This is not a piece of malware which we expect to see spreading in the wild, despite its use of a photograph of unusual wildlife."
