Administrators will see something different in the advanced notifications Microsoft releases ahead of their security updates, as well as update to the actual security bulletins.

The security bulletins have some changes in store as well.
Mark Miller of the Microsoft Security Response Center said these tweaks will be in place for the June updates.
In a blog post at MSRC, Miller reviewed how the current advance notification service (ANS) lets people know which platforms will feel the impact of a security update.
This allows admins to plan those updates and possible downtime accordingly.
"We've received positive feedback on the ANS, but customers have also told us that additional information would be even more helpful," said Miller. "Based on that, we are incorporating additional detail about the upcoming security updates."
Admins will see the new notifications on June 7, the Thursday before that month's Patch Tuesday takes place.
Miller described how this will look next month:
Moving forward, the ANS subset will contain the following for each bulletin and not be grouped by just the platform:
• Maximum Severity Rating
• Impact of Vulnerability
• Detection information
• Affected Software
Security bulletins have received a redesign, one that should make their severity and relevance to an admin's environment evident much more quickly.
A sample of the new layout shows how Microsoft applied several changes to support that need.
