The regular Patch Tuesday updates from Microsoft will take place next week, just after their out of band fix for the animated cursor problem and six other patches arrived on Windows systems.

A critical update for Microsoft's Content Management Server, along with four other Windows updates, will be made available on April 10th. At least one of the Windows issues has been rated critical.
These new patches come almost immediately after Microsoft repaired a flaw affecting animated cursors. That flaw had been the subject of rampant increases in attempted exploits of the problem.
The nature of the animated cursor flaw was just as dangerous to user systems as it was appealing to malicious coders. Malware could install itself as a drive-by exploit, and a visitor to a malicious website hosting it would not see it happen.
Though many were critical of Microsoft's apparent slowness to fix the cursor problem, Microsoft defended its actions and blamed the testing cycle needed to identify and patch dependencies along with the flaw to minimize the impact on people.
Some still took a hit from the fix anyway. Microsoft released the fix after having identified a problem with RealTek audio drivers breaking on installation of the patch. The company posted a hotfix for that to bring its drivers current, and out of the problem zone for the cursor fix.
Kaspersky Labs' Viruslist has been reporting the discovery of an ANI flaw on a reputable site belonging to hardware manufacturer Asus.
"There's an iframe added which leads to the recent ANI exploit," Viruslist said. "The URLs in the exploit variants which we've detected are currently down."
